No excuse

I have no excuse as to why I only made one post on my blog and then neglected it for ohhhh....9 months or so!  So much has happened since then!  First things first, my little girl...well, she's not so little anymore :(  When I set this blog up, she was 2 and now in 8 days she will be 3 YEARS OLD!!! I'm a little overwhelmed by how much she has grown and changed in just 9 months since my last post....  Here is my little diva today

There is never a dull moment with her.  She keeps everyone on their toes and is the sweetest, most polite, loveable little girl when she wants to be!  Just yesterday my sister Andrea and I were talking while our kids were all playing upstairs at her house.  In the midst of our conversation we both hear Boog say to her cousin Maely, "You so pretty Maely!" It just melted my heart.  I guess she learned that from hearing her daddy tell her every single day of her life, ten times a day, that she is "So pretty!"

Instead of typing up everything and anything that has happened since my last post and the details of it all, I'm just going to list the highlights in no apparent order:)

-still have not started building the rest of the house (more on that some other time)

-I found out that I'm going to be an "Aunt BeBe" again! That makes the total 6 grandchildren from my mom and dad, 3 boys, 3 girls!  Nicolas Alexander will be making his debut in early to mid August!

-our house got broken in to in March and it was the 2nd scariest thing I have ever had happen to me, falling short to...

-losing my daughter at home! Long story short...the worst 2 minutes of my life!  My daughter put her shoes on by herself (which at that time she didn't do) and went outside in a diaper on a rainy day (which she hated at that time) thinking she was following her daddy out to feed her dog Mollie when he had actually just left to go back to work after lunch.  I was blow drying my hair and never heard her open the door.  Luckily mommy instincts kicked in and I stopped blow drying my hair because of a gut wrenching feeling that something was wrong...I was right!  Thankfully, we live on 20 acres in the middle of nowhere and there were no busy streets outside our house!

-I went back blonde!

-We got a yorkie named Oakly

-We got rid of our yorkie named Oakly...my husband is not an "inside dog having" type of person:)

-We started Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and are steadily paying off one debt after another!

-I turned a quarter of a century old.

-My grandma passed away...leaving me with no remaining grandparents...and life has just not been the same since:(.  She is no longer suffering now and has joined the love of her life in Heaven, waiting for the rest of us to join them:) I can't wait until I see my Granny Nita and Papa Dub again!

-My Dad and I opened up a booth at a local flea market and did so well selling "junk" that we opened up another booth:)

-I started making bows for little girls and started selling them in my flea market booth but would like to start an etsy shop soon!

-I have taken on way too many "projects" that need to get done and I'm going to use this blog as a reason to get them done!

-We are planning our first ever "Mini family vacation" in August (because it's so hard to get time off at my job) and we are super excited about it!

New In The Neighborhood....

I have continually read blogs daily for the past year....I get lost in blogland and just do not know how to stop myself :)  I started out reading "Mommy" blogs and have some that I keep up with daily (and feel like I know them personally lol).  Recently I have found myself reading DIY blogs and also blogs about furniture and home renovation, because in the next year or so my husband and I will be building the rest of our house and I need all the ideas I can get!  A little bit about me.....

• I'm a 24 year old mother to a two year old little girl with MANY nicknames, but that her daddy and I like to call "Boog" (more on how her name came to be later)

• I have been married for just over a year to the man that I had a HUGE crush on throughout highschool and eventually started dating 5 years ago:) He is my Best Friend, the BEST daddy, and my Rock!

• My career as a nurse involves taking care of our Nations Veterans and I am very proud of what I do! 
• I recently found my hobby of crafting and refinishing furniture...I just absolutely LOVE it!

• I am addicted to my iPhone and don't know how people live without them
• I am from a very small town outside of Poplar Bluff, MO (where I live now) where all you can see is flat farmland and dirt roads and I love it!
• I am a lover of all things thrifty!
• My nickname that my grandpa gave me when I was growing up was "Ralph", and I wish he was still here with me to call me that :'( Boy do I miss my Papa Dub!
• I love fashion but wear scrubs most of the time because of work :(

• I am the baby of my family and have two older sisters who used to tell me I was adopted when I was younger ;) I beg to differ!
• I am an aunt to 4 beautiful children Tori age 4, Maely age 2, Jackson age 4, Reed age 7....and they call me "Bebe"

I have totally ran out of things to say about myself for now.....to be continued:)
